This is my reaction to the FG ban on Twitter. πŸ‘‡πŸ½πŸ‘‡πŸ½ In as much as I understand that a lot of people love Twitter and use it on a day to day basis to get news, I can totally understand the frustration of a lot of #nigerians over the ban of Twitter in Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ (though I believe it’s not going to be a permanent ban) You should understand that a corporate entity e.g Twitter cannot be bigger than a government. And we have seen this company in question (because of the enormous power it wields on the Internet) manipulate public opinion on certain leaders they don’t agree with. A perfect example is Donald Trump and now President Buhari of Nigeria. Free speech 🎀 is not reserved for only the masses as even a leader too has the right to express his thoughts. And it’s good they do so we can have an insight into what they are thinking towards the people they lead. If twitter can allow violent videos and explicit sex videos on its platform, then it should be a platform free for all to say and do whatever they want no matter who they are - this is why the internet is a true representation of a free world. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. ... Lindaikejiblog YabaLeftOnline.com Tech Cabal Reno Omokri #renoomokri #renonuggets #lindaikejiblog
